Cookies

There is no cookie banner on this site, and that is deliberate: we do not run analytics or advertising, so the only cookies we set are the ones needed to make the site work.
Why there is no banner
Consent banners exist because of tracking. Cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver a service you asked for — keeping you signed in, remembering that you closed a notice — do not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive or the UK PECR. Those are the only kinds we set, so there is nothing to ask you about.
If we ever add analytics, this changes: we would add a banner, we would default it to off, and we would say so here first.
What we set
| Cookie | What it does | How long | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Keeps you signed in between visits. | Until you sign out, or 30 days of inactivity | Supabase (our auth provider) |
| peelo_signed_in | Lets the header show the right buttons (Log in vs Dashboard) without a server round trip. Holds no session data itself. | 30 days, or until you sign out | Peelo |
What we do not set
- No analytics or measurement cookies.
- No advertising or retargeting pixels.
- No social media embeds that phone home.
Turning them off
You can block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the auth cookie means you will not be able to stay signed in, so the account pages will not work — everything else on the site will.
